Inspiration: new hair

Spring was just around the corner but it chilled down a bit and it still is winter. Up here in the far north winters are cold and long and it feels like people just wanna stay in, be comfy and wait til the winter is over. That's kinda the situation with my hair. Since I keep it long it doesn't need high maintenance every few weeks like short hair, but I still like to keep it neat and nice. The color has stayed on pretty well and it's been a mild winter and I haven't really had time to figure out what I'd want to do with my hair. The last time I got my hair dyed it went too dark, but that just usually tends to be my problem since I've always had dark brown eyes and hair too. I was actually born with super thick and long hair to my mother's surprise, not the usual baby hair. I've had my fair shares of being a redhead, blonde, black hair, highlights you name it. In the recent years I've stuck with my natural color brunette and not changed the cut too much, except adding layers cause my hair is naturally a bit curly then it moves nicely. Now would be the time to do something about it since spring is coming and quite a few events next month so  I need a change. This is what I was thinking.

I'm especially into getting a bit lighter color, still brunette but maybe with some lighter highlights, like Giselle or Jessica Alba, their hair length and color are perfect. What's your favorite? I really liked what the hair stylist in Nice did to my hair last spring as I was prepared for a disaster explaining what I want to get done with my hair in French. But by learning a few important words everything turned out quite well. So soon hopefully towards a fresh, spring look. In the mean time I can just keep looking for the perfect look.

Mikä on sinun suosikkisi? Pidin todella paljon siitä mitä Nizzan hiussalongissa saatiin aikaan viime keväänä. Olin valmistautunut katastrofiin sillä jouduin selittämään kaiken ranskaksi, mutta opettelemalla muutaman avainsanan kaikki kääntyi parhain päin. Joten toivottavasti pian kohti raikasta kevätlookia. Sillä aikaa jatkan täydellisen lookin etsimistä.

Film: 'Mine all Mine' by Luke White & Remi Weekes (Tell No One) x Nowness

A troupe of contemporary dancers from London’s Sadler’s Wells Theater engage in an elegant game of chase in Mine, a film by director duo Tell No One AKA Luke White and Remi Weekes. The filmmakers have created an interactive, motion-touch short where half a dozen underwear-clad performers are styled in shoppable pieces from labels including Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, La Perla, Maison Martin Margiela and Bottega Veneta.

“I thought they should be dressed in clothing capable of expressing emotion,” explains stylist Agata Belcen. ““The film doesn't straightforwardly distinguish between male and female roles, and so it was important in the styling that the clothing could also be understood in masculine and feminine terms.”

Influenced by the naturalistic approach of Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker, Tell No One enlisted Italian choreographer Paolo Mangiola to translate the frenzied desire of online gratification into an impassioned routine which features Madonna and Florence and the Machine collaborator Amber Doyle alongside dancer-turned-model Louis McMiller. “Luke and Remi's film feels magical but still of this world,” adds Belcen. “It was important for the styling to support this mix of reality and oddity.”
