Day trip to Hanko

This weekend was the time for the annual Hanko Regatta which means a lot of people and sailboats. Even if some people might pay attention to the actual sailing contest going on the regatta has usually been more of a reason for young people to get together and well, party, enjoy the summer sun and catch up in the beautiful city of Hanko.

It was such lovely weather so we decided to drive to Hanko. Even if we arrived early evening the sun was still up high. We didn't catch that much of the sailing anymore but instead walked around and sat at the beach for a while. Even if Hanko is a nice summer city I've somehow always preferred Tammisaari (nowadays Raasepori) as a summer city, it is very close to Hanko. So on our way back home we stopped by there and grabbed something to eat.
